Bogotá makes history: now among the QS Best Student Cities

Bogotá has officially entered the list of the 100 best cities in the world to study, according to the 2025 edition of the prestigious QS Best Student Cities Ranking. Our capital ranks 99th, just after Mumbai and tied with Johannesburg, surpassing cities such as São Paulo.

With an overall score of 61.4, Bogotá stands out particularly in employer activity (73.5) and affordability (65.6) — indicators that reflect a promising, competitive, and accessible academic environment for international students.
This milestone is the result of a collaborative effort led by Atenea – the District Agency for Higher Education, Science, and Technology, in alliance with the RCI ASCUN Network and the Colombia – Challenge your Knowledge®️ (CCYK) Association. We recognize the leadership of Universidad de La Salle and Universidad de los Andes – Colombia, who have

played a key role in shaping a long-term strategy to position Bogotá as a leading university city in Latin America.
At CCYK, we proudly celebrate this international recognition and express our gratitude to the HEIs of Bogotá and the district entities that have worked together to build a high-quality academic and scientific ecosystem for the world.
